Rialto Fish & Vegetable Market

Lead by a guide, stroll through the stalls of fresh produce at the Rialto Market, visit the picturesque Fish and Vegetable Market and learn how since the ninth Century this area was the financial and commercial centre of Venice, stopping at a typical osteria for a glass of wine and a few cicchetti (Venetian tapas).

Enjoy views of the Grand Canal while standing on the Rialto Bridge.

During the tour you will discover all secret corners of this enchanting area of Venice and revive the times when Venice was one of the most important commercial cities of the western world.

Head to the historic Cannaregio and San Polo districts.

Venture on foot through the Cannaregio district to see the house where Marco Polo was born and one of the oldest churches in Venice: San Giacometo, dating back to the 7th century and admire the ornate, 16th-century Palazzo dei Camerlenghi along the banks of the Grand Canal.

Despite its beautiful exterior, the palace was once greatly feared by small-time criminals during its days as a tax evaders’ prison.

Gondola

Cross over the Grand Canal on a gondola and continue to the San Polo neighborhood and pass through the Castelletto and Carampane areas, known as the red-light district of the medieval era.

Your tour will conclude by the Rialto Bridge and lasts about 2,5 hours.
