Postojnska jama

The caves are open all year round, even on holidays.

The visit, which includes a ride on the little train and a walk along a path.

It lasts an hour and a half.

Predjama Castle

The mighty Predjama Castle is situated on a 123-meter rock face.

It is even entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest cave castle in the world.

Predjama castle was first mentioned in 1274 and was built by the abbots of Aquileia who gave it a Gothic appearance.

Later it was rebuilt by the new owners of the Luegg family, whose representative was Erasmus of Predjama.

Travel to Slovenia – Predjama Castle is considered the only castle built in the rock that has been preserved in Europe.

With its extraordinary location it offers an insight into the construction techniques and ingenuity of the people of the Middle Ages.

They sought refuge right near the entrance to the cave.

This manor has already been filmed several times for numerous documentaries and films.

Ghost Hunters International

Among them it is worth mentioning the documentary-reality series of the team of Ghost Hunters.

As well as the film Armour of God, in which the main actor is the hero of action movies Jackie Chan.

Inside the castle, visitors can see the restored room in the main attic of the castle.

Numerous replicas of weapons are on display from spears, halberds, swords, battle hammers, bows, crossbows and armor.

Lipica

A few kilometers after the Slovenian border, we find Lipiza.

It’s besides being one of the main sites of interest in the Karst, the estate is among the most important Slovenian monuments.

A monument that represents not only the breeding of Lipizzaners.

Bbut that encloses centuries of natural heritage, created by the symbiosis between horse and man.

The estate satisfies every need: a visit by bicycle, a romantic carriage ride.

They live and work in an environment that has shaped the character of the most prized breed of horses in the area.

Their stubbornness and their stubborn resistance to weather conditions, from which the immense beauty of the natural landscape also originates.
